It’s About Time

Our text today is from Isaiah 55:6  Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

clock-min-midnightIt has been said that time is a luxury that we don’t have.  In many cases this is true.  Even if you are a young person, there just is no guarantee that you will see tomorrow.  No one is promised tomorrow.  All you have is today, right now, this minute.                                      The picture shows only a couple of minutes before midnight.  Like the clock, we may have only a couple of minutes left to do a kind deed or say a kind word.                                                              So many times we put off things that we could do today, but never finish.  It is especially sad in the case of a passing loved one. Things left undone and unsaid all have unpleasant consequences and regrets. It’s always too late after they’ve gone.  We wish we could go back and do or undo something.  That in itself creates sadness and heartache not to mention the bad experience.

When I think of this, I can’t help to think about the horrendous sadness that will accompany those that put off getting saved or put off having a close walk with God.  You see the Holy Bible says that one day there will be a judgement day, when we stand before Jesus Christ to give account of ourselves to Him. (See Revelation 20 and 1 Corinthians 3.)

If you are saved, you will have to give account of yourself of how you conducted yourself as a Christian, not your sins.  Our sins were taken care of by the death of Christ.  But we as Christians will give account of whether we were good Christians or sorry Christians.

If you are not a Christian, and have never been born again, then you will have to give account of everything you have done, thought, seen, heard, and said and that includes motives and sins. ( I‘m glad I won’t be there for that judgement.)  If I were you, I would get saved while you still have time, so your sins will not be brought up on judgement day.  Time is a luxury you may not have. Time is ticking away.  Is it getting close to your hour? My prayer is that you will say, “I want to get saved right now before it’s too late!”

It’s About Time!

Don’t let it run out for you. Tic toc, tic toc, tic…
