Our text is from 1 Corinthians 6:2. (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
Years ago my karate teacher showed us how that at just the right time we should punch or kick. It would mean the difference between winning a match or fight, and losing one.
Well that’s how it is with getting saved. You see, our text says now is the time and today is the day of salvation. So now is the right time to make the decision to call on Jesus Christ to save you from your sins and trust in Him to gain eternal life. It may mean the difference between going to Heaven and going to Hell, after all, if you put it off, you may not have a mind tomorrow to make the choice for Jesus. Better today while you have the chance. You have no guarantee of tomorrow. You may not be with us tomorrow. You may not have another opportunity. How many countless people are in Hell today because they put getting saved off one more day. Wrong timing.
If you are like me you will want to be on the winning side. Getting saved guarantees that.
Timing is everything.
