Why Christians are no Longer Faithful to Church Attendance (Conclusion)

This is the conclusion on why Christians no longer go to church.                                                  We shall start with reason number 11.                                                                                      Hebrews 10:23.  Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)                                                                                                                10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:                   10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Church with cemetary11. Worldliness causes unfaithful church attendance. If you can’t come out of the world one day a week for God,  only God knows what you are doing the other six days. The more you stay away the more you will want to stay away.  Why is that?  SIN!  1 John 5:2 says  that we are not to love the world.  You can always tell when Christians are getting worldly.  They start dropping out of church. Worldliness and church does not go together!  One will have to go.

12.  Unfaithfulness is a direct result of being an enemy of the cross of Christ. The Christian life is a life of self-denial. Jesus made it clear that you could not be his disciple if you don’t take up your cross and follow him daily. Luke 9: 23 Many Christians are not disciplined enough to go to church faithfully which is the easiest thing to do. They will never make soldiers of Jesus Christ because they haven’t been  through basic training.

It’s interesting to note that many churches have cemetaries next to them.  It is very instructive considering our subject matter.  The truth of the matter is that many Christians, are “weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.” 1 Corinthians 11:30.

May God help you get back in the battle and get faithful to the things of God.  They are the only things that will last in eternity.

Only one life will soon be past,                                                                                                          Only what’s done for Christ will last.
