I Can’t Live It

Our text is from Romans 3:23. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

time for a check upIn our text it is plain and clear that we are all in the same boat. The sinner’s boat. That is, we all sin. Sin is what we all have in common. So we are all in trouble. God is holy and we are unholy. How is that fixed?

I recently had the opportunity to witness to a young man that would not get saved because he said that he couldn’t live it. I told him that he was right, that’s why he needed Jesus.

The very next verse in our text says, Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus… It is in the Lord that we have redemption and that is because we are justified freely by his grace. It is not thru our works that we get justified. Notice in verse 27. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. So now we get to verse 28. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

See, it is not about us depending on us but about Jesus and his grace that we are justified and redeemed.

You can’t live it, so don’t think you can.

Ask God to help you live for him the best that you can and leave the justifying and redemption to the Him.
