Our text is from Psalm 63:1. O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee:
It has been said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and if you want to live a healthy lifestyle breakfast is necessary.
The same is true for being a healthy Christian. One should seek the Lord in the early part of the day not in just prayer but in God’s word as well. This gives you a balanced breakfast and as a result, you can face the day with whatever may come your way. If you pray (that’s talking to the Lord) and you read His word (that’s God talking to you) what better way to face the day.
The great Champions of the faith have always been those that sought the Lord early in their day before they fight the devil and his hordes. Rest assured, King David before he fought ‘the Giant’ sought the Lord beforehand so he would have the strength of the Lord on his side and as the result, victory for his kingdom and nation.
If you want to be a champion in the Lord’s service—- have your breakfast first.
It will be truly…The Breakfast of Champions.
