Here Today, Gone Tomorrow

Our text today is from Genesis 5:21-24.

And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: 5:22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: 5:23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Enoch must have been a great man because it is said of him in the NT in Hebrews 11:5 that he pleased God.  The Lord and Enoch must have some great fellowship because in our text it is said the he walked with God.  One day God just took him.  He was here one day and gone the next.  What a great encouragement this is to me.  It lets me know that one day I will be here and the next I will be with Jesus Christ.  Even-though I may die or the Lord calls the saved people out in the Rapture it will be here today and gone tomorrow not just for me, but for those that are counting on the blood of Christ to save them and take them to Heaven.

What about you?  If the Lord were to call the saved people out tonight would you still be here or would you be gone?
