Corruptible Crowns or Incorruptible Crowns

Our text will come from 1st Corinthians 9:25.  And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

The apostle Paul is telling the Corinthians that those in sports try to win to get a reward, recognition, honor, trophy, prize, or as our text says a “Corruptible crown.” Then the apostle says from our text that just as they do it for a corruptible crown we as Christians should serve the Lord because one day we will get a “Incorruptible crown” for our service. These are crowns that will mean something in eternity and that won’t wear out, fade out, be stolen, rust, or lose their value and importance. Not to mention that, they will be handed out by the Creator of the Universe and there will be no greater person or honor than to receive our incorruptible crowns from the Lord Jesus Christ.

So my question to you is: Corruptible Crowns or Incorruptible Crowns; which will you have the most of?

May God help you to see the importance and difference between the two.
