What’s Wrong with this Picture? Conclusion

We are talking about the true meaning of Christmas.

Now we are ready for John 3:16.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God (See who initiated the agreement? …Well… it wasn’t us!)
so loved the world, (The motive was love.)
that he gave his only begotten Son, (See where the giving of gifts came from?)
that whosoever (That’s anybody.)
believeth in him (Not in religion or good works on your part)
should not perish, (See your hopelessness?)
but have everlasting life. (See what you gain back?) John 3:16.

So…God gave the greatest gift of all. He wrapped up his son in human flesh and gave him to us and for us so we could once again have the fellowship with Him that was lost through our disobedience.
For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Romans 5:19.                                                                                                                                                                  So Jesus Christ was the man that made it possible for us to have our sins forgiven and paid for.  Now… if we trust in him alone for that payment, we can go to heaven when we die.

This, my friend is what the true meaning of Christmas is.

Christ came the first time to pay for our sins when he died on the cross. That is what we can rejoice and be merry about.  The fact he became our sin bearer.  But again I want to stress the fact that it is for anyone that wants their sins forgiven.  It isn’t accomplished at birth. You have to call on Him to save you from your sins.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13.

This Christmas can be the best Christmas you have ever had.
May God help you to understand and rejoice in “the true meaning of Christmas.”  Call on Him today.

Merry Christmas!
