Faith verses Doubt

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.  1 John 5:4

A small, but wonderful poem I pasted  in my Bible for many years says…
DOUBT SEES THE OBSTACLES,
FAITH SEES THE WAY,
DOUBT SEES THE BLACKEST NIGHT,
FAITH SEES THE DAY,
DOUBT  DREADS TO TAKE A STEP,
FAITH SOARS ON HIGH,
DOUBT QUESTIONS, “WHO BELIEVES?”
FAITH ANSWERS, “I.”

So now you have a choice.  You can be a believer in Jesus as Saviour, protector, helper, and friend, or a doubter, like the ole doubting Thomas that would only believe something that he saw.  Who doesn’t know that you can’t always believe what you see in this world of computers, magicians, and special effects.

Ask God to give you the faith to believe on Him and then call on Him to save you from your sins and to be your helper and provider.  He can and will do it.

Jesus made the statement that if you don’t believe on Him that you would die in your sins. (See John 8:24)  You certainly don’t want that.  Trust him by faith and then should the time come that you are called home you will be with hm forever in the right place.

You will be glad you did.

Ephesians 2:8-For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
